Bauer College Alumni Association Elects New Board Members

Staying connected to the C. T. Bauer College of Business doesn’t end after graduation – the Bauer experience only grows through the Bauer College Alumni Association (BCAA).

The college’s alumni association is a network of involved graduates who help members develop professionally and grow personally through a slate of events, including happy hours, tailgates and volunteer opportunities, and other activities.

BCAA recently elected new members of the Executive Board of Directors and Committee Chairs.

EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

PILAR SOSA (BBA '08)
PRESIDENT

Pilar Sosa is the President of the Bauer College Alumni Association (BCAA) where she has made significant contributions through roles in community service, engagement and tailgating. Sosa first connected with BCAA in 2011 as a member of the Cougar Power Hour committee, focusing on fostering connections between Bauer alumni, other UH colleges and the broader community. 

Professionally, Sosa serves as the Operations Manager at Protek Specialty, overseeing the manufacturing of water pumps for irrigation. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and running at Memorial Park. 

IRENE HERNANDEZ (BBA '13)
VICE PRESIDENT

Irene Hernandez is the Vice President of the Bauer College Alumni Association (BCAA).

During her time with BCAA, Hernandez’s most memorable event is the annual 9/11 Day of Service, which helps the Houston Food Bank prepare meals for those in the Houston area.

Hernandez is an accountant for Plains All American Pipeline, LP.
