Top in Productivity

Bauer Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship Faculty Receive Exemplary Rankings from American Marketing Association

The C. T. Bauer College of Business Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship and its faculty have once again received exemplary rankings in the American Marketing Association’s annual compilation of research productivity in the field of marketing.

Professor Michael Ahearne, who holds the C. T. Bauer Chair in Marketing and serves as Research Director of the Stephen Stagner Sales Excellence Institute, was ranked 10th in the world for productivity based on the number of research papers published in premier marketing publications, the Journal of Marketing (JM), and the Journal of Marketing Research (JMR). Seshadri Tirunillai, the Marvin Hurley Associate Professor of Marketing & Entrepreneurship at the Bauer College, was ranked 26th in the world. At a college level, Bauer College ranked 16th in the world.

In a tabulation of research publications in four top marketing journals (Journal of Consumer Research and Marketing Science in addition to JM and JMR), Ahearne was ranked 27th and the Bauer marketing department ranked 40th.

Several Bauer College doctoral alumni were also cited in the AMA rankings: Alina Sorescu of Texas A&M University, Werner Reinartz of University of Cologne (Germany), Zach Hall of Texas Christian University, Willy Bolander of Texas A&M and Raghu Bommaraju of Indian School of Business (India).
