Bauer Students Celebrate Completion of Leadership Program

The C. T. Bauer College of Business celebrated undergraduate students in the Ted Bauer Leadership Certificate Program (TBLCP) during an event earlier this month for completing the rigorous program.

101 students participated in the college's year-long leadership development program, learning to build a solid leadership foundation, make decisions with integrity and better understand their personal strengths. Students in the program go through leadership coaching, weekly leadership development workshops, teambuilding exercises and more to become a strong leader and team player. Students receive a certificate, as well as cords to accompany their graduation regalia for commencement.

"Over the last year, we've seen tremendous growth in these students and are proud to see them lead us into the future," Bauer Program Manager for Leadership Initiatives Celene Warren said. "By investing in themselves, these students are more than prepared to take the next step in their journey."

In his congratulatory remarks, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Business Programs Frank Kelley noted that in addition to the generous support by the C. T. Bauer Foundation of other programs such as the Ted Bauer Undergraduate Business Scholarship, the Foundation provides funding each year for administrative support for TBLCP.

"This program, and many others at Bauer, would not be possible without the ongoing support of the C. T. Bauer Foundation," Kelley said. "By improving on your leadership skills, you are carrying on Mr. Bauer's legacy."
