Supporting Growing Talent
Bauer Supply Chain Management Programs Rank in Top 15 by Gartner, Inc.
The C. T. Bauer College of Business Supply Chain Management (SCM) program for undergraduates ranked 8th in the Top 25 North American Supply Chain Undergraduate University Programs for 2024.
Housed within the Department of Decision & Information Sciences, Bauer’s undergraduate SCM program ranked 8th overall, with the graduate program ranking 14th overall and 11th among public schools.
The Top 10 placement was announced at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium, an annual gathering of top SCM executives and strategists.
Bauer has worked closely with business partners to better align curriculum with industry needs, a factor that has undoubtedly led to elevating Bauer’s top status, said Department Chair and Professor Norman Johnson.
DISC professor Dale Tibodeau led efforts to create the Bauer College Supply Chain Industry Advisory Board in 2023.
“We now have an effective mechanism to collaborate with many of our leading industry partners, which is extremely important because they employ a majority of our students,” Tibodeau said. “One of the first areas our industry advisory board members called our attention to is improving students’ soft skills, and we have illustrated to them how we are addressing this in a number of our courses and will continue to enhance this.”
“Industry feedback is being shared and circulated with our entire supply chain faculty in order to digest and take appropriate actions, and we will continue the mutually beneficial collaboration and communication going forward,” DISC Senior Professor of Practice Bradley Miller said.
The biennial Gartner report, released earlier this summer, is intended to support chief supply chain officers (CSCOs), heads of supply chain strategy and supply chain HR partners to identify university programs best equipped to support their growing talent needs.
