A total of 1,335 students graduated from Bauer College across two ceremonies, including 1,131 bachelor candidates, 283 master’s candidates and two doctoral candidates.

Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs, Cullen Distinguished University Chair and Professor of Finance Praveen Kumar began each ceremony followed by remarks from Dean Paul A. Pavlou. University of Houston System Board of Regents Members Ricky Raven and Gregory King spoke at the first and second ceremony, respectively.

During the first ceremony, East West Bank Chairman and CEO Dominic Ng (BBA ‘80) was awarded a Doctor of Humane Letters, or honoris causa, for his lifetime of philanthropy and support of the University. The UH alumnus joined East West Bank in 1991 and helped the company grow from a small savings and loan association into a global full-service commercial bank with a total of over $70 billion in assets.
