Specialty Strength
Bauer Specialized MBA Programs Ranked by Fortune Magazine
Fortune magazine has recognized the C. T. Bauer College of Business for the strength of its specialty MBA programs: Healthcare Management, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Consulting.
Fortune’s annual ranking of the Best MBA Programs for 2025 now includes separate rankings for business schools with concentrations or specializations.
The national rankings reflect Bauer’s intentional strategy of drawing upon the strength and breadth of its faculty expertise in creating focused curriculum for MBA students’ specific career paths, said Associate Dean of Graduate and Professional Programs Leiser Silva.
In addition to the MBA programs with specializations cited by Fortune, Bauer also offers MBAs and Specialized Master’s curriculum that include certificates in Leadership, Finance, Business Analytics, and Digital Marketing. Those options have been very popular since the business school revamped its offerings over the last few years, said Silva, who is also a Professor of Decision & Information Sciences.
Fortune ranked Bauer College 5th among Human Resource Management-focused MBA programs; 12th in a field of MBA programs that include a concentration on Consulting; 19th among MBA programs with an emphasis on Healthcare Management; and 12th of IMBA programs that offer an International Business concentration.
“I think the rankings indicate that Fortune is recognizing the novelty and the richness of our MBA specializations that are tailor-made for students seeking career advancement in specific areas,” Silva said. “It has been an intentional strategy to leverage our extremely strong faculty, who we’ve called upon to design very relevant certificates and concentrations based on their specialty areas.”
To accommodate professionals’ busy schedules, Bauer’s MBA programs are also offered in different modalities such as online, part-time and executive cohorts.
According to Fortune, the methodology for ranking the new MBA program specializations is based on a combination of 11 different factors, including where the leaders of America’s 1,000 biggest companies pursued their MBAs, the outcomes of recent graduates, and more.
