Bauer Alumnus and Board Member Promoted to Chief Officer at LyondellBasell
Bauer College Board member Kayoor Gajarawala (BBA ‘90) is now the Chief Digital and Information Technology Officer for LyondellBasell, a Fortune 500 chemicals company.
“We are always happy to see our alumni and board members move up the ranks as Chief Officers,” Bauer College Dean Paul A. Pavlou said. “Having Kayoor in this leadership role in such a cutting-edge field as he serves on the Bauer College Board helps to inform us of how to integrate digital and information technology needs into our curriculum.”
In his role, Gajarawala will lead LyondellBasell’s Global IT and Digital Community, working with executive leadership and the broader organization to accelerate digital transformation and build information technology capabilities for a sustainable future.
Prior to his role at LyondellBasell, Gajarawala worked at Shell for more than 20 years, serving as vice president of Information and Digital Engineering, vice president of IT Evolution and CIO of Global Commercials and Chemicals.
