"Personalized content is everywhere. From Spotify playlists to TikTok feeds, it’s changing how people talk about entertainment," Lee said. "For casual consumers, tailored recommendations boost enjoyment, making them more likely to talk about music or videos in general.
He added: "When the algorithm chooses for people who see themselves as real music or video enthusiasts, they can feel less confident in their knowledge, making them less likely to join broader conversations."
