Bauer College Ranks Top 30 in U.S. for Full-Time MBA Public Program for First Time
The C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston is among the nation’s Top 30 business schools for Full-Time MBA public programs for the first time ever, after jumping seven spots overall in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.
Released this week, the U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Graduate Schools list puts Bauer College’s Full-Time MBA program at No. 30 among all public business schools ranked. The program moved up seven spots overall, at No. 56 among all business schools ranked.
The rankings are determined by both expert opinion of program excellence and statistical indicators to measure the quality of a business school’s students and their post-graduate outcomes (salary and placement rate). This year’s Full-Time MBA ranking placed more emphasis on earnings, comparing schools’ post-graduate salaries across different professions.
“We continue to further raise the bar at Bauer College, where The Future Is Our Business,” Dean Paul A. Pavlou said. “We are now in the U.S. News Top 30 programs for the first time in our history because we focus on impacting the earning potential and career prospects of our graduates, as demonstrated by our nearly 100% placement rate for our MBA graduates while exceeding $100,000 average starting salary, including bonuses, for the first time ever.”
At Bauer, the Full-Time MBA Class of 2023 had an 89 percent placement rate three months post-graduation, with a 69 percent salary increase since starting the two-year program.
“The return on investment that our students get for the Bauer MBA is unmatched,” Associate Dean for Graduate and Professional Programs Leiser Silva said. “Our Full-Time MBA is one of the most hands-on, customizable graduate business programs available, and the results our students see in their careers demonstrates our success.”
Bauer’s Full-Time MBA program offers 23 different concentrations that emphasize experiential learning and real-life industry applicability. The program also offers MBA and MS dual programs, including seven STEM designated dual MBA/MS offerings.
In the U.S. News list, Bauer’s Professional MBA also ranked in the Top 30 part-time programs among public business schools, ranking 28th (tied). In the overall ranking, the Professional MBA ranked 45th (tied).
