Every Challenge, An Opportunity

Bauer College Celebrates Spring 2025 Grads During Two Commencement Ceremonies

Students, families, staff, friends and faculty converged on the Fertitta Center ahead of Mother’s Day weekend to celebrate the newest alumni of the C. T. Bauer College of Business.

The graduating class includes 1,242 bachelor’s candidates, 295 master’s candidates and eight doctoral candidates.

At each ceremony, newly appointed Dean Xianjun Geng spoke to the audience, reveling in the opportunity to do what he described as the best part of his job just nine days into his tenure.

“Although change naturally brings some uneasiness,” Dean Geng stated, “I offer you this advice: every challenge is an opportunity. Today is the time to celebrate your accomplishments, and also a time to reflect on the future, which is yours to make.”

Once the hoods were donned, hands shaken, tassels turned, and the alma mater played, students filed out of the arena to celebrate with friends and family and began gearing up to take on their next challenges as proud Bauer College alumni.
