Best B-School Staff

Bauer College celebrated staff this week with an end-of-summer party and social gathering organized by the college's Staff Development Circle (SDC).

Catered by Fajita Pete's and SMOOSH Cookies, the event allowed staff from different units across the college to mix, mingle and prepare for the upcoming fall semester. Bauer has about 180 staff who work in a range of positions from academic advising and career counseling to operational and program support. 

Established in Fall 2016, the SDC was formed from the college's Staff Rewards Committee and the Moral & Training Committee, which were created in 2008 to maintain a system to recognize extraordinary staff efforts and provide meaningful rewards for those efforts. Committee members include Undergraduate Student Organizations and Activities Program Manager Jorge Arellano, Recruitment Specialist Brittany Dean, RED Labs Managing Director Liana Gonzalez-Schulenberg, Front Office Manager Shaneika Gradney, Director of Alumni Relations Bria Johnson, College Business Administrator Christy Pennington and Graduate & Professional Programs Admissions and Recruitment Program Manager Shirley Shiflet.

The event also marked a milestone for Skilled Trades Technician Eduardo "Lalo" Guzman, who is retiring after 16 years of service.
