Bauer Students Gather in Celebration and Honor of
Charles T. " Ted" Bauer
The C. T. Bauer College of Business honored its namesake, Charles T. “Ted” Bauer, at the annual Ted Bauer Day, recognizing the grand contributions he made to the university to revamp the business college.
Bauer College honors Ted Bauer each year around his birthday, March 3, with a celebration hosted in Melcher Hall. The day consists of a resource fair with various programs along with giveaway opportunities.
The World War II U.S. Navy pilot, educational philanthropist and co-founder of Houston-based AIM Management Group transformed the business college at the University of Houston, gifting the school $40 million in 2000. The business school was then named the C. T. Bauer College of Business in honor of the generous gift.
Because of his gift, countless lives have been changed. Here are just a few people whose lives have changed because of Mr. Bauer.
“Bauer was instrumental for who I am as a person. A lot of my friends and colleagues came from the Bauer community and family. I have always said Bauer is a college of grit and that has made me a person who is willing to work hard, be the best at everything I do and seek out challenges.”

I ended up majoring in marketing with minors in sales and human resources and that all created the foundation of what I use every single day.
