Bauer MBA, Best in Texas

The Princeton Review Ranks Bauer MBA
Among Best On-Campus MBA Programs

The C. T. Bauer College of Business now ranks second in the nation and best in Texas for the greatest resources available for minority students.

According to the recent ranking that came out from The Princeton Review, Bauer’s MBA ranks second on the list for “Greatest Resources for Minority Students” among their top-rated Best On-Campus MBA Programs. These ratings were reliant on student feedback looking at their institution’s available resources and the overall campus culture.

Bauer’s MBA program is up one spot from last year’s third best placement on the list for “Greatest Resources for Minority Students.” This ranking is a testament to the dedicated faculty and staff, and the students who represent the variety of cultures that live in Houston, Associate Dean of Graduate and Professional Programs Leiser Silva said.

“It’s very important to recognize the location and demographic composition of Houston," he said. “We are able to attract people from all over the world and students have expressed to us that when they come to Bauer, they feel at home. That’s something we value tremendously and it's a reflection of our city and our mission.”

Silva also gave tremendous credit to the faculty and staff at Bauer, who represent the city of Houston just as much as the students do.

“This ranking recognizes who we are and what we do,” he said.

Bauer College Dean Xianjun Geng also highlighted that nearly 50 percent of the student population at the University of Houston are first-generation college students.

“Part of this recognition of 'Greatest Resources for Minority Students' involves welcoming people from across the nation,” Geng said. “As a leading public university, Bauer is proud to support students from all backgrounds.”
