Bauer Masters in Top 100 Worldwide

The C. T. Bauer College of Business program offerings are among the top 100 business master’s programs in the world.  

This year, for the first time the Bauer College master's in business administration (MBA) and master's in science (MS) degrees are included in the 2027 QS Business Masters ranking for their strong industry engagement, graduate outcomes, academic quality and student value.  

"This ranking speaks highly of our overall excellence across programs and student success," Bauer Dean Xianjun Geng said. 

In addition to the milestone of the college's first-ever inclusion on the QS Business Masters ranking, the Bauer MS Supply Chain Management program is in the top 50 worldwide.  

"It is thanks to a unique combination of research, teaching and location that make us internationally recognized,” Department of Decision & Information Sciences Chair Meng Li said. “As we undergo curriculum review, I think we’re only going to get better in the future.”  

"QS is arguably the most globally recognized ranking in terms of higher education,” Geng said. “The fact that we are in the top 100 in the whole world, for five different programs, sends a very strong message of our graduate school's overall excellence."  

The QS Business Masters ranking is designed to help prospective students find programs that will support their educational and personal development, and act as a benchmark to an institution’s global peers.  

Business schools use the results as an external evaluation to improve curriculum design and research performance, while employers use them to identify strong candidates who excel across various disciplines. 

"Bauer is a global university serving a global city," Geng said. "The economic and business innovation happening in Houston reflects what is happening in the rest of the world. I hope this ranking can get more people to pay attention to what we're doing at Bauer and attract more interest to our college."
